The 'real' 425 squadron is based in Canada. The squadron was formed on 25 June 1942 at RAF Dishforth in northern England. During WWII they were part of Bomber Command based in the UK (and later in North Africa) and flew Wellington, Halifax and Lancaster aircraft. They now fly the CF-18 Hornet from their base at Bagotville in Canada.
