425 Sqn at Nesscliffe ATA - 27 - 29 Oct 06
This year's 48-hour field exercise at the Nesscliffe Training Area, organised by 485 (Harborne and Quinton) Sqn in Warwickshire and Birmingham Wing, was called 'Exercise Custard Cream' and was attended by 121, 485 and 1368 Sqns (Warwickshire and Birmingham Wing) and 425 and 1046 Sqns (Staffordshire Wing). Cadets and staff lived in bunker 109 on the training area, with no heating and a small amount of portable lighting.
They took part in a number of patrol and recce, initiative, leadership, navigation, fieldcraft and comms exercises, plus target shooting on the range for those qualified.

with a packed lunch prior to departure on Sunday.
