 425 Sqn at Exercise Bourbon - Nesscliffe BTA - 18-20 Nov 05

Exercise Bourbon was a 48-hour field exercise at the Nesscliffe Training Area, organised by 485 (Harborne and Quinton) Sqn in Warwickshire and Birmingham Wing, and attended by 37 cadets and 11 staff from 425 and 1046 Sqns (Staffs Wing), and 121 and 485 Sqn (WB Wing). Cadets and staff lived in an old bunker out on the training area, with no heating and a small amount of portable lighting, with nighttime temperatures of -6ºC. They took part in a number of initiative, leadership, camouflage and concealment and comms exercises, plus target shooting on the range for those qualified.
