During the last weekend in June, 425's radio section cadets supported VMARS - the Vintage and Military Amateur Radio Society - at the Military Vehicle Trust's 2002 national show.

During the event cadets operated on the ATC HF National Net and the 40m amateur radio band from a Russian Zil R-161 communications vehicle, passing voice messages, and receiving a broadcast data transmission on the SCC National Net.

Traffic was also passed using our GR479 and BCC32 HF SSB stations.
